Chiropractic manual therapy

what is a chiropractict adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment, or manipulation, is the most common treatment form used by chiropractors. It is a procedure in which a very gentle and specific force (using either hands or a hand-held tool) is used to restore proper function and motion into a restricted joint. A small amount of gas may be released from within the joint space which sometimes will make an audible “pop” or “crack” sound, much like cracking a knuckle. After receiving an adjustment, one will often notice an increased range of motion and mobility as well as decreased pain or discomfort. Extensive research shows that chiropractic treatment can help with conditions such as low back pain, neck pain, headaches, rib dysfunction, shoulder and knee pain, and much more.
